Hello Members and friends. Here is the latest on Rebuild Robin Hood . . . Construction:
  • Our team is meeting weekly with US Pools to ensure the project is on track. The entire team held a pre-permitting meeting with the county to review the plans and address any initial concerns by the county.   Revised documentation has been submitted to the county to obtain permits.
  • Work has begun – all white coat has been removed; the filter room is under construction; initial evaluations of skimmer and pipe damage has been done.  The major structural work needs to wait for the permits to be approved.
  • The project plans include: replacing and extending the well, allowing for two competition boards; adding a slide; adding an ADA lift; modifying the existing steps in the shallow end to be ADA compliant; adding 8 water sprayers in the shallow end to enhance the entertainment value of the pool (these can be turned on and off as desired); overhauling the filter room to support a bigger pool and thus a larger volume of water.
  • Come to the annual meeting to learn more!!
Annual Meeting: Due to some planning considerations, the annual meeting was postponed until mid-October. Again, a quorum is required for several items, so members are requested to come to this critical meeting. The agenda will include:
  • present all of the construction details available;
  • discuss and approve the budget for 2015;
  • discuss the need for member help in the areas membership and fundraising;
  • approve new board members;
  • review preliminary plans for the 2015 pool season.
Fundraising:
  • Our fundraising team has arranged an awesome event and silent auction featuring one of our own – Damian Grasso’s band will be at The Fillmore THIS SUNDAY September 21st. It’s the adult social we weren’t able to have, but on steroids! Come join the fun – see right-hand sidebar to Purchase Tickets for the Fillmore.
  • With less than half of our membership having donating money, we have raised $142,000 with roughly $120,000 in cash. Of that, we have spent $43,000 to date for construction and related costs. We need the support of our full membership, so please take the time to make your contribution. Our goal for fundraising remains $250,000 – reach out to family and friends to help us continue to raise money!
